Andhra Pradesh is the seventh largest state by area and it is located in south eastern coastal region of India. Total area of this state almost 1 lacks 62 thousand square kilometer and total population of Andhra Pradesh 4 crore 17lacks. Andhra Pradesh is formed on a linguistic basis in India. The state was formed on Nov 1, 1956 under the states re-organization scheme.Andhra Pradesh has the second largest coastline of 974 km after Gujrat.Andhra Pradesh is bordered by Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Orissa in the north, the Bay of Bengal in the east, Tamil Nadu to the south and Karnataka to the west. Two major rivers, Godavari and Krishna, run across the states.On the other hand, important hydel projects of the state are Nagarjunsagar and Thungabhadra. A small enclave of 30 sq. km of yanam, a district of Puducherry, lies in the Godavari delta in the north-eastern of the state.
Capital of this state is Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam is the major port of this state. Second largest commercial hub of this state is Vijayawada. Total district of Andhra Pradesh is 13 and Telugu and Urdu are the main languages of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is called the “rice bowl of India” for different variety of rice and rice is the staple food of this state. In other words, people who engage with this primary sector to grow different types of crop like  bajra, maize, jowar, sugar cane, tobacco, oil seeds, mango, chili pepper, etc. Main population of this state is agriculture and most of the population depends on agriculture. Even, this state is also famous for its huge egg production and it is called “Egg bowl of Asia”.On the other hand, this state is famous because it produces shrimp over 70 percent and this state has increased its business through exporting of marine fish well as island fish.

Andhra Pradesh plays a key role for growing business. There are some key factors viz automobile, textiles, pharmaceutical, etc. The state is also emanating as destination of automobile industry. Even, the state is improving for biotechnology and information technology. 

Andhra Pradesh is rich in different kind if minerals and building stones. Generally, minerals found in this state include natural gas, limestone, manganese, asbestos, iron ore, gold, diamond, dolomite, quartz, tungsten, graphite, feldspar, silica sand.

Andhra Pradesh is famous for its tourism industry and well known for its natural resources, rivers and temples. It is the home of pilgrimage center where thousands of pilgrim come here to offer prayers and some of the temples are Shivamallikarjun temple, Simhachalam temple, Kanipakam temple, Vinayaka temple, Tirupati temple, Yaganti temple, Ahobilam temple, etc.

  • The name of the bird is Indian roller and its scientific name is Coraciasbenghalensis. This bird is seen from western Asia to the Indian subcontinent. Largest population of this bird occurs India and other states.
  • Blackbuck is the state animal of Andhra Pradesh and it is found in most parts of India and can also be seen here. It is also known as “Indian antelope”. They need plenty of water, that’s why, they prefer areas where water is available all time.
  • Neem is the state tree and it has a scientific name which is Azadirachta indica.it is fastest growing tree and its height will be above 10 meter. Neem is native to the Indian subcontinent. Neem tree is evergreen and neem oil has demand among people.
  • Jasmine is the state flower of Andhra Pradesh and it is also known as summer jasmine, white jasmine, true jasmine, poets jasmine, etc. it is also famous in Pakistan because of it is national flower of Pakistan. People use its essential oil on a daily basis. On the other hand, this flower is used for commercial purposes.
  • Magnifier indicia is known as mango and it is native to the Indian subcontinent. However, mango is the national fruit in India, philiphhines, etc.

  • Pulicat is second largest brackish water lake and it famous for bird sanctuary. Every year, many migratory birds come here for that reason, most of the tourist visit this place to see different types of species of bird also.
