How to Beat The Heat of Summer | Health Tips To Beat The Summer Heat To Stay Cool

Summer months in Florida can see the thermometer up in the 90s during the day, add in the humidity and you're definitely going to be getting hot and sweaty.

Eat small, light, non-spicy meals. Eating heavy meals cranks your metabolism and can raise your body temperature. Also, digestion robs you of energy. Since the heat is already robbing you of some energy, you don't need to add to this drain by taxing the digestive system. However, don't skip meals since it's food that replenishes the electrolytes you lose through sweating and increased water consumption.

Another way to beat the heat is to take it easy. If you don't have to work on landscaping your yard until later on in the year, do so. Don't spend your hottest days slaving away and sweating buckets. If you are lucky enough to have air conditioning, consider spending your days inside soaking up the cool air. If you do not have air conditioning, you should try to find the coolest spot in your house and set up camp there. If you just can't get comfortable, try venturing out to your local shopping center.

The use of portable air conditioning in your house is also a great way to stay cool. It allows you to bring the unit throughout your house, wherever you go. The operating and initial costs of portable AC units are much less than a central air unit, and you have the added benefit of being able to bring it with you if you move.

Rome is now equipped with several pools that can provide some fast relief from the heat. Most of the nicer pools belong to the 4 and 5 star hotels in Rome, our personal favorite being that of the Radisson SAS hotel. It is located on the rooftop of the hotel, with a view over Termini Station (not exactly the tropics, but hey, beggars can't be choosers)!

Ooty: Sometimes also known as the "Queen of the Hill Stations of South India", Ooty is one of the best places to visit to India especially during the summer. It is an excellent destination to escape the summer heat. Scenic landscapes, lovely lakes, gorgeous gardens, lush tea plantations, rich flora & fauna, etc make this hill town a favorite destination of India in summer. It is also a favored destination for honeymooning vacation.

The best way to beat the crowds is to plan your vacation. You need to know exactly which attractions and shows your family wants to experience and make a plan so that you increase your chances of seeing everything on your list.Heat cramps result when people sweat a lot during strenuous activity. Sweating depletes the body's salt and moisture and a low salt level creates painful cramps.
