Reasons to Drink More Water | Proven Ways Water Makes You Awesome

Water plays a role in almost every major body function including regulating body temperature, carrying nutrients to cells, removing waste and toxins, cushioning joints, protecting organs and tissues. Seeing that only about 1% of the water supplied to our homes is used for consumption, it's not even logical for municipal plants
to completely filter all the water that goes through it. The only logical solution is to install point-of-use water filters at home so you can be assured that all the harmful chemicals, lead, chlorine, and other harmful substances are taken out.

Water can also help you control your calories and keep your skin looking good. Although water is not an actual weight loss product, it can help you lose weight when you chose to substitute some of your high calorie soft drinks for a bottle of water. Furthermore, foods rich in water, such as watermelon and other fruit and vegetables, help you feel full.

Water is also responsible for helping remove toxins from the body as well. If you were to drink a lot of water over a short period of time you might start to see your urine turn from a yellowish color to clear. That means that your body has removed the toxins via the kidneys, and that you are properly hydrated.

It's Sunday morning and your kid needs water to go to his soccer game. You want to boil water for your tea and oh no! The big jug on the water cooler is empty and you have no more! If you use tap water, you will never have this trouble. Just turn on the tap and it's there, always.

Clean drinking water is vital to health, yet the UN and the WHO report that 1.1 billion people around the globe lack access to clean drinking water. The health consequences are devastating. The UN attributes 2.2 million deaths annually to poor water and sanitation. If we clean water, provide better sanitation, and teach people how to keep water clean, future generations can enjoy longer and healthier lives.

Not only do you need to drink more water when you are taking protein shakes, but also when you are taking supplements like Nitric Oxide or Creatine. These two supplements are a magnet for water and they will absorb water like a sponge in the body. Supplements are also usually high in sugar which also attached itself to water molecules like a leech.

There are additional factors that can affect the amount of water that should be consumed such as exercising, living in dry or hot climates and alcohol consumption. Each of these conditions will require that individuals increase their water consumption to adjust for the loss of water through perspiration.
